A digital caliper reads to 0.01mm on a clear LCD, so you can size a bolt, a bearing or a piece of jewellery without squinting at engraved lines. One button switches between inches and millimetres, and the zero button resets at any position for measuring the difference between two dimensions. It powers on when you open the jaws and shuts off after five minutes idle.
